LONGMONT: A $1.1 million transformer being trucked from Wisconsin to the city's new electric substation collided with an overpass in Iowa last Friday, delaying the station's completion.

Description
Smaller single phase and three phase units are built using the 'EI' pattern lamination where the 'E' and 'I' laminations are built up in blocks and assembled with a gap between the 'E' and the 'I' blocks. Larger units are built with cut strip laminations and have gaps distributed in the legs. Ratings are generally based on the specified inductance and the current through the unit, Where rating = LI²
